Science Saturday is a full afternoon of exciting, hands on experiments and spectacular science for children ages 5-12 hosted by Wesleyan Science Outreach! This spring it will be on April 27 from 1-4:30pm at Exley Science Center in Middletown. There is no charge, but space is limited. You can find the registration form here. If you are registered, arrive between 12:45 and 1pm in room 58 in Exley Science Center. Students with red Wesleyan Science Outreach t-shirts should be there in the lobby to greet you. Spaces are open for Middletown children ages 5-12 for a fantastic afternoon of scientific exploration. This event has no charge. This year’s Science Saturday feature a presentation from Professor Amy Macqueen, A tutorial on Ice Cream Making (Professor Greg Voth), two fun and interactive activities: Natural Disasters and Energy (Potential and Kinetic), followed by a Pressure demonstration of Physics versus Chemistry and a ice cream party!
Science Saturday 2017 (APRIL 29TH)
Join us on April 29th, 2017, for a day of unforgettable science! We will have Professor Amy McQueen from the Biology department giving a talk to the start of the day! Followed by two fun-tastic activities, focusing on Natural Disasters and Kinetic/Potential Energy. Lastly, we will all convene into the lecture hall for the our First Annual Physics vs Chemistry competition and the traditional ice cream/sorbet!
